Welfare

Lindfield Juniors Football Club is committed to providing a safe and friendly environment for its players, supporters, coaches, and officials.

We ask every parent/carer with a child involved in football to take a few minutes to view our policies and procedures which outline what you should expect from your club and how you can play your part in safeguarding your child.

MAKING SURE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE

Reporting concerns

If you are worried about a child, it’s vital that you report your concerns.  Doing nothing is not an option.

There are a number of ways to report a concern:

  • To the Club Welfare Officer

If at any time a club member is not able to contact their Club Welfare Officer, or the matter is clearly serious then you can either:

    • Contact the CFA Designated Safeguarding Officer directly
    • Contact The FA’s Safeguarding Team on 0800 169 1863 or by email safeguarding@TheFA.com
    • Contact the Police or Children’s Social Care

If urgent and you are unable to contact your Club or Sussex FA Safeguarding Officer, you should call the NSPCC 24 hour helpline on 0808 800 5000 or text 88858.

If it is an emergency because a child is at immediate risk, then always call the Police by dialing 999.
